Terms
The rental contract is personal and cannot be transferred. "Client", "renter", or "you" means the driver, payer, or user named in the rental contract and the person who signs it. "We", "company", or "MY RENTAL CARS" means the rental company. "Vehicle" means the car or utility vehicle made available for the agreed rental period.
Damage means any deterioration of the vehicle, including glass, mirrors, lights, tires, interior, or component parts. Vehicle theft also includes vandalism or damage to components during an attempted theft. Travel outside Moldova is allowed only with written authorization from MY RENTAL CARS, requested at least two working days before crossing the border. Conditions and costs are confirmed by the office.
The client must provide all information required to prepare the rental contract, including identity, home address, driving license details, and payment method. Every driver must hold a valid driving license for the rented vehicle category, issued at least 24 months before the rental date.
The minimum driver age is 21 years. Some vehicle categories may require a higher minimum age. At the start of the rental, the client must pay the estimated rental amount and provide the deposit required for the selected vehicle category.
The vehicle is rented under the MY RENTAL CARS rental agreement. A document describing the vehicle's condition is attached to the rental contract. Before leaving the rental location, the client must agree with the recorded condition or request corrections if anything is missing. Damage not reported before leaving the parking area or office cannot be accepted later. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition in which it was received.
Repair costs caused by the client, or by an unidentified third party, may be added to the rental cost up to the maximum client responsibility stated in the signed contract. The client is responsible for traffic offences or criminal offences committed with the vehicle during the rental period, and client data may be provided to police authorities when legally requested.
Goods and luggage must not damage the vehicle or create risk for passengers. When parked, even briefly, the client must lock the vehicle and use the alarm or anti-theft system where fitted. The vehicle may not be left with the keys inside. If the keys cannot be returned, replacement penalties apply.
In case of damage, the client must submit the accident report within five working days after receiving the authority report. In case of theft, the client must provide the vehicle keys, documents, and the authority report within two working days. The client must complete the incident declaration according to MY RENTAL CARS instructions.
During the rental, the client must perform normal checks such as engine oil every 1,000 km and tire pressure, and must respond to dashboard warning lights. Mechanical, technical, or cosmetic work on the vehicle is not allowed without prior approval from MY RENTAL CARS. Tire damage outside normal wear or force majeure must be replaced immediately at the client's expense with a tire of the same size, type, brand, and wear level.
A rental contract is valid for a maximum of 30 days. Longer rentals may be allowed, but a new contract is issued for each additional 30-day period. The client must return the vehicle at the end of the agreed period. The minimum billable rental period is one day, calculated as 24 hours from the vehicle pickup time, with a grace period of 29 minutes. A delay beyond 29 minutes may be charged as an extra day.
To extend a contract, the client must bring the vehicle to a MY RENTAL CARS office, allow the vehicle inspection, pay any cost differences for the new rental period, and sign a new rental contract. The rental ends only when the vehicle, keys, and documents are received by a MY RENTAL CARS agent. They must not be handed to other people in parking areas who claim to represent the company.
If the vehicle is returned without keys or documents, the replacement costs and the cost of bringing the vehicle to the company office are paid by the client. Relocation to the MY RENTAL CARS office from which the vehicle was rented is charged at 0.50 EUR per km. If the vehicle is confiscated, stolen, or involved in an accident, the contract ends according to the rules stated in the signed agreement and only after the company receives the required official documents.
The client is responsible for paying the rental cost. The estimated rental cost and accepted services are paid in advance and include the rental rate, optional services or equipment, insurance-related contributions, fuel service assessment where applicable, and the deposit. For card payments, MY RENTAL CARS may pre-authorize the estimated rental amount and deposit on the credit card.
At return, the invoice amount may be charged automatically to the presented card unless another payment method accepted by MY RENTAL CARS is provided. The client accepts that the same card may be charged for costs arising from accident, damage, or theft. For rentals longer than 30 days, an invoice is issued at the end of each 30-day period and a new pre-authorization or payment process may be completed.
If payment is overdue, late-payment interest may apply after notice at the legal rate plus 0.1% per delayed day. If invoices are not paid by the due date, the company may request immediate return of the rented vehicles. Applicable prices are the prices in force on the contract signing date, based on the rental information provided. Changes to rental duration, return office, or other booking information may change the price.
Fuel is not included in the base rental price. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. Missing fuel and refuelling service may be charged according to the signed contract. Wrong fuel may be charged at 250 EUR from the deposit. Extreme vehicle dirt may incur a cleaning fee.
The deposit amount depends on the rented vehicle group and rental duration. It is blocked on the card and is intended to cover rental extensions, missing fuel, damage, theft, missing items, and other costs specified in the rental contract. If optional insurance is not accepted, the deposit may be increased to the maximum liability for the vehicle category.
In case of damage or theft caused by the client, the deposit may be charged proportionally to the loss, up to the maximum amount stated in the signed rental contract. If the vehicle is returned in the same condition, with no damage, missing parts, or damaged items, the deposit is released at the end of the rental.
The client is responsible for the rented vehicle for the entire rental period. In case of an accident with no identified third party, the client must complete an accident report and submit it within a maximum of five working days, but no later than the return of the vehicle. If an identified third party is involved and that party's insurance can be used, the client's responsibility may be reduced to a 120 EUR damage-file administration and vehicle unavailability fee.
In case of theft, the client is liable according to the insurance and vehicle group only if the vehicle documents, keys, and authority report are delivered to MY RENTAL CARS within two working days. If these conditions are not met, the client may be responsible for the full market value of the rented vehicle, adjusted for age, wear, and equipment.
Mandatory civil liability insurance is included as required by law and applies only in territories authorized by the vehicle policy. Optional damage and theft coverage may reduce financial responsibility when accepted and signed in the rental contract. Insurance does not cover situations such as driving under the influence, failure to report an accident properly, illegal use, overloading, speeding, unauthorized drivers, competitions, serious traffic violations, unpaved roads, engine damage, wheel and tire damage, underbody damage, or interior damage caused by negligent use.
In case of a traffic accident, the client must protect the interests of MY RENTAL CARS and the insurer. The client must record the names and addresses of witnesses, secure the rented vehicle, call and wait for police authorities in case of serious damage or injured passengers, and submit official documents to MY RENTAL CARS together with the required incident declaration.
Accident and theft protections apply only when the police or competent authority report is provided. If the required official report is missing, the client may be financially responsible for the full damage.
Any change or additional act to the rental agreement is valid only if signed by both parties. The contract is stored by the company, and both parties agree that the document has the legal validity of an original document. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably fall under the jurisdiction of the courts at the location of the company's main office.
To access, correct, or object to disclosure of personal data, the client may contact MY RENTAL CARS. The client must hold a credit card accepted by MY RENTAL CARS. Accepted cards in Moldova include Visa and MasterCard. When payment is guaranteed by credit card, MY RENTAL CARS may temporarily block the client's responsibility amount and release it after return and payment of rental and accepted extra costs.
